MARK FLASH (LOS HERMANOS, UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE; DETROIT - USA)
Mark Flash teadis mida ta tahab - kui teised lapsed jooksid tänavatel, proovis tema klubidesse esinema pääseda. Aastal 1980 sai ta omale esimesed grammafonid. Ta hakkas oma tulevikku ise kujundama läbi raskuste ning esinemistega väikestel üritustel. Tänu DJ Rolando'le (Revenge of The Jaguar), kes oli Underground Resistance'i sõdur-muusik, sai Mark Flash plaadifirma Soul City kardinataguseks produtsendiks. Ühendades house, techno ja funki on Mark Flash üks väheseid DJ/produtsente, kes võib vabalt mängida paljusid instrumente ning oskab ka nooti lugeda. Mark ei taha vaevata inimesi mingi pseudo-intellektualismiga - ta tahab panna teid lihtsalt tantsima! Mark kirjeldam oma produktsiooni kui "...vali ning funky. Ma tahan et inimesed ütleks KURAT kui hea!"
Mark Flash on oma jõud ühendanud Gerald Mitchell'i ning Ray 7'ga moodustades kollektiivi Los Hermanos. Underground Resistance'iga on Mark ellu viinud mitmeid projekte remiksidest, reliisidest ja mix cd'dest kuni rahvusvaheliste esinemisteni.
Underground Resistance on 80ndatel majanduslikus madalseisus olnud Detroidis Jeff Mills'i ja "Mad" Mike Banks'i poolt loodud muusikaline kollektiiv, mis tänapäevani peegeldab Detroit Techno tõelist olemust - kompromissitu muusika ning kogu muu suhtumine selle kõrval mis nõuab poliitilisi muutusi ning aktiivset mitte-leppimist vananenud seisukohtadega. Mad Mike pole tänapäevani esinenud ega avalikele piltidele sattunud ilma oma kurikuulsa näo-maskita, sest tähtis on MUUSIKA, mitte mees kes seda teeb!
